My baby is THE best because—
*When he smiles his eyes crinkle up and disappear.
*He’s just starting to reach out to be picked up and he only does it for ME!
*He growls like a tiger.
*He has a perfect little fat-roll on his belly that begs to be kissed.
*Every time he shits right after I’ve changed him, he looks over at me and smiles while he does it.
*When I kiss him on the nose, he immediately starts sucking on my chin.
*When he gets sleepy he’ll snuggle up on my chest and hold tight.
*Every time I put him in warm bathwater, one of us gets peed on.
*When he grabs my finger and smiles at me he makes me forget everything else.

Ok–so I know there are quite a few dopers out there with new and gently used babies…I’m remembering Tyger, Hedra, BubbleGirl, um–Bricker, too, I think, just off the top of my head, and I’m sure there are many others. I thought we could devote a thread to the greatness that is our progeny.

And I am a lucky woman, aren’t I? I think that has been the best part of this whole motherhood gig–it’s really made me re-evaluate all those things I’d been taking for granted.
That being said, after a long week of diapers and bottles, I’m always willing to share my wealth! What weekend can I pencil you in for?

My baby daughter is not constrained by the laws of geometry…she knows that someday she WILL fit both fists in her mouth at the same time.
Her habit of grabbing my chest hair while I read the sports page to her needs to stop though.
