Why Ron Moore gets fired

From Star Trek NG, DS 9 and Andromeda.

Here’s a quote from him on Sci Fi’s Battlestar Galactica site:

Hell, if they hadn’t kept the kid, I’d watch it.

Have you read his original draft of the Battlestar Galactica script? It’s not pretty so far, and I’m having trouble making my way through it. I think his comment falls into the “infinite number of monkeys producing Shakespeare” category (i.e. if you spew out enough shit, eventually some of it will be good.).

Thanks, Tucker.
I put it in a .LIT file and read it on the laptop.

Hey, I like Ron Moore.

Well, I agree with what he says in the quote you posted, but, uh, I ain’t seeing quality in the script.

Actually, Moore didn’t get fired from any of those. He never worked for Andromeda at all; you may be confusing him with Robert Hewitt Wolfe, who did leave DS9 before the end of its run – though he wasn’t fired – and did, unfortunately, get sacked from Andromeda.

Moore did leave the Voyager staff after a fairly short time, which I think may have been one of those mutual decision things – I don’t remember the entire story there.

Dammit.

Thanks, Katisha. I did.

Never mind.
Bad physics in the script, BTW.

I thought he was fired because it was revealed he really wrote the episode Spock’s Brain! (sure, he was 7 at the time, and it shows!)

This will be out little secret, that I confused Moore and Wolfe, right Tars?

Sure thing, all those people with E at the end of their name look alike, anyway.

Tarse Tarkase, signing off…

I read the script, and it sucks.
I hope that’s not really it.
