Why so many white people social/subcultures as compared to blacks?

No, no, it’s black goths that are invisible. What isn’t already black, is painted black. :stuck_out_tongue:

Calm down Biggirl. Don’t go popping a cap in anybody’s ass.

Meh, Freejooky is a nasty little troll. He’s the worst kind of troll. He plops down controversial OPs (probably stolen from other message boards and then waltzes off), posting a message or two thrown in for good measure. He doesn’t defend his OPs. He leaves that for the other people to get upset about and argue about among themselves.

If you believe him, he’s dating a high schooler, talking to his friends about DP, wants to know if men rest their penis inside or outside the bowl, has coin slot irritation, can’t go out in public without getting a splitting headache, needs OTC medicine for his anxiety, and just noticed an ad showing that McDonald’s hates black people, among the other 67 threads he’s started since Sept. '08. Most of his threads are extremely inflammatory or just plain dumb. It was hard to pick the worst ones for this small sampling.

Laugh - you have no idea how hard it is being a non-White goth. PVC bondage pants are just not made for people with asses, man.

I thought you were black. I thought there was a thread a while back about posters who race other’s pegged wrong, and I thought you said you were black in that thread. I wonder who I have been mistaking you for.

The referred OP reminds me of llth grade when we were reading short stories written by another class in the same school. They were reading our stories as I recall. Each was assigned to read and critique a paper from another class. One student in my class read a story by a black student and his whole world was shook. Most of the characters were black, and the narrator described the skin tone of most of the characters. It had never occurred to the reviewer that black people might write stories with mostly black characters or that different black people have different skin tones and this is something that would be noticed. He openly wondered if when black people dream, were the people in their dream mostly black?

I was badly shook for a moment when I read the OP. I had noted the other asinine thread and it really freaked me out that it could have been Biggirl posting that.

I wonder if I should tell TheKid’s emo/scene/outcast black friends that they need to discard their eyeliner and electric colored hair and become thugs and hootchies (too young to be professionals). I’m sure that will go over well.

Or “not really black”.

“Can’t we all just get along?”
-Martin Luther Rodney King (I can’t tell those two gangstas apart!)

Those are some incredibly stupid shit, that’s for sure. On the positive side I think there’s more curiosity from white people about the ins and outs of black culture, which is a good thing, but in the process you sometimes see some really nasty, unthinking assumptions exposed in those questions.

Bustin a cap, fool.

I’ll always remember **Freejooky **for his post complaining that most blacks had a chip on their shoulder, which was a good setup that led monstro to make a funny post about how her chip makes her crave malt liquor.

Sometimes I wonder how many random SDMB posts are taking up space that could be used to remember something important.

Those are his work clothes, so we could make a case for “Thug Professional”. You are right about the pants though.

What exactly is that thing? He looks like a cross between Bozo the Clown and Jimmy Walker as a Wiggle.
I guess we could call him art because I now question my worldview…

…or a Sly Stone Power Ranger…

Yo Gabba Gabba is a Nick Jr. show that my daughter likes, along with Wow Wow Wubbzy. And yeah, it’s pretty weird.

Thug. Definately Thug. Look at how he torments Mr. Winslow.
Now Stephan Urkel was a Hootchie Mama.

Hey, it’s all good in the hood.*

Here’s one man’s opinion of him  Link

*OK, OK, I’ll stop now.

Professional thug, I’m gonna put that down on my CV from now on.

So what would be ‘overcoming’ exactly?

Does perpetual victim status confer some kind of power? What exactly is it that hasn’t been overcome? There are black people living in the big houses, running Fortune 500 corporations, a President of the United States, the greatest golfer in history.

What exactly do you want? Every black person to be rich and successful like every white person obviously is?

Wow, golf. The incarceration rate for black men is shockingly high, so there’s that. And it affects a few more people than golf does.

Ok, fair point.

The golf point was just to show that a black man dominates the whitest sport there is.
