My sister and I live 300 miles apart but she finally got a Wii and we want to play together. We already play WoW together so we’re looking more for a get up and play game than a sit on your ass and play game.
But, I have no idea how this works and how to find out what games work this way. I checked out the Nintendo site and it actually breaks games into lists based on which ones can be played with wifi (and they seem to all be sit on your ass and play games). But, what about games that aren’t put out by Nintendo?
Can anyone help me?
Here you go:
List of Nintendo Wi-Fi Games.
As for how it works, each you and your sister will each have to type in each other’s “Friend Code” (unique to each game you play) to connect online together in each game. It’s a bit cumbersome, but it does work.
And if you haven’t already gotten Mario Kart Wii, get on it–that game rocks online.
Oh good lord. I swear I’ve gotten stupider since I went back to school. It never even occurred to me to look on wikipedia.
Thank you very much. That’s perfect.
No worries. Just be aware that some of those games only use the Wi-Fi for leaderboards and other trivial things, so make sure to read into those games a bit futher before deciding to buy a one that’s on that list if you only want to play online.
