Re Will’s campy friend Jack and Graces “assistant” Karen. Have only seen a show or two lately, but there seems to be an odd undercurrent of sexual tension written into the show that they are, or were, an item.
Are they, or were they at some point?

Given that Jack is supposed to be so gay that Will couldn’t out-gay him on his gayingest day with the help of an electrified gaying machine, I don’t think so.

No, they’re not “doin it” nor have they ever been. I mean, I haven’t watched the show in ages, but, well…Jack is gay.
So why the sexual tension? Well, take a flamboyant woman like Karen, who is prime fag hag material, and add Jack, the flaming queen himself, into the mix, and BOOM instant chemistry. It can happen, trust me. I’ve been there! I AM Karen…minus the money and alcoholism. And I had my Jack, and yes, we “tongue kissed” and there was boob grabbing, but sex? No, never…I mean…he’s gay.
It is just a safe, flirtatious, non-sexual relationship.
Astro, I think (based on what I’ve seen on the show) that you’re confusing tension with the fact that Karen will come on to anything with a pulse after a few drinks.
But why the obsession with Karen’s big boobs?
Because everybody likes big knobs.
If Liza and David can , so can Jack and Karen.

I know the openly gay brother of a co-worker, he’s pretty flaming but nowhere near Jack territory. He likes breasts too, especially large ones. His sister says he regards them as “play things” and the women he knows let him because they regard him as “safe” because that’s all it is playful, adult fun that won’t lead to anything.
I wouldn’t say there’s sexual tension, just a flamboyant relationship between a queen and his hag. Both characters are very outsized and over the top, it’s only natural that their relationship would be too.
Karen is my dream woman. That’s the kind of woman you could spend the rest of your life with.
