Does anyone know where I might be able to find a copy of Will Farrell as Harry Caray on ESPN’s Sportcenter segment “The Hot Seat?”
Did you check kazaa? There are usually quite a few Will clips going around.
The funniest thing about Farrell doing Harry Caray is that he manages to look just like Harry when he does it.
“Moses Alou runs down the left field line… Oh my gawd! Oh my gawd! A fan caught the ball! A fan caught the ball!”
Moses. That’s hilarious.
Go here.
i like when he was on the news with Colin Quinn and he was calling him Norm…damn that was funnAy
I did an impromptu impersonation of Will doing Harry at work once. It was totally off the top of my head and I can’t even remember what I said (but it must have been damn funny) but I had everyone within ear-shot laughing. One lady wet her pants she was laughing so hard. All work stopped for about 10 minutes.
Thanks, Will and Harry, for making me the popular guy for a few minutes.
“Linda HAM! Linda HAM! Reminds me of a sandwich I had one time!”
OK, I’ll be the first (and only?) person to admit I had no clue Harry Caray was a real person. Where can a gal go to see the real Harry Caray in action?
funnay…i just hope youre not a surgeon

Harry Caray used to be a Baseball announcer for the Chicago Cubs. He died a couple years ago.
Harry was local icon for us young Cubs fans growing up on Chicago’s North side. To see the real Harry, and hear some clips, here’s a tribute page.
I just heard Irv Kupcinet died today - another Chicago legend.
Before Harry Caray sold his soul - er, I mean, before he signed his contract to announce for the Cubs (ptui!) - he was the announcer for the Chicago White Sox.
(and yes, Chandeleur - Kup’s gone now, too )
Immediately before he joined the Cubs’ broadcast team, he worked for the Oakland A’s for a season. And before the White Sox, for the St. Louis Cardinals. Baseball lore has it that the reason Harry Caray left St. Louis is that Augie Busch found out, or at least became strongly suspicious, that Harry was a little too friendly with Mrs. Busch. Harry denied this, but only much later on – when asked why he waited so long, he reportedly said “Look at her, and look at me; if you were me, would you have denied it?”
Harry was a great man, the most down-to-earth happy person I have ever met in my life. He loved his job and his lot in life. He never hesitated to smile and say hello to a fan that recognized him. At his wake, I was standing between a famous sportscaster and an elderly black man. Harry will be remembered fondly by everyone fortunate enough to have met him, and shared his enthusiasm for life.
One of Harry’s best-known quotes (as far as I could tell; it was the one I heard all the time and I’ve never been to Chicago) was an ecstatic “Cubs win! Cubs win!” Usually Ferrell would end his bits on Weekend update saying “Colin Quinn! Colin Quinn!” the same way.
“If you were a hot dog… and you were starving… would you eat yourself? I know I would. I’d smother myself in relish and brown mustard, I’d be so delicious.”
My favorite Harry Caray moment: “It’s a long fly ball to right field…, aw crap, Cubs lose.”
Don’t forget one of his other famous lines, “Holy COW!”
I remember watching more than a few Cub v. Cardinal games on WGN and he’d be up there announcing when something would happen and “Holy COW!” The tv people started putting a picture of a holstien with holes in it in one of the corners.
One of the other things that Harry was famous for was his renditions of Take me Out to the Ball Game during the seventh inning stretch. It was always hard to tell if he was drunk, or just suffering from some kind of stroke, but it was always fun and always Harry.
