Will I Be The First To Start The MMP?

Wait a sec - didn’t you move to Okrahoma?? I’m so confused…

We are totally in the middle of doing that! This vacay has been planned for months before I got the transfer so I am back in Cali for vacation for a couple of weeks then on the 8th August the moving truck comes.

I like vacation

sorry boofae for work being sucky

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Ponte Vedra separated? Must go google it…
ETA: Acting for my galego countryfolk who aren’t here to say it:  some more! Who the hell put a space in Pontevedra?

Those stoooopid Amurrkins did. Duh… :smack:

:stuck_out_tongue:

I dreamed I woke up and there was a huge owl peering down at me from a hat tree.

There is neither a hat tree nor an owl in my bedroom. Wonder where that one came from?

You’ve been watching too much Harry Potter.

I don’t have to go to Kay-ro! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! Ok, I’m goin’ Thursday instead of today but on Thursday I probably won’t get rained on while drivin’ and I’m all for that.

Snakes makes ya want a hat tree just to see if it attracts owls don’t it! Chef sallit for lunch. All kinds of stuff on in like chikin, ham, turkey, cheese, olives, maters, red onion, radishes, cucumbers, carrots and boiled aig. MMMMMMM… tasty!

I see our Ponte Vedra was probably named for your Pontevedra since Columbus was born there, and it for a 12 arch Roman bridge.

Why separated? Well, the empty beaches do make for lots of space.

Home - three wakeups to go. This afternoon was the going-away thing for the guy who hired me. Tomorrow is mine. Other than that, work isn’t. Altho during Dave’s thing this afternoon it occurred to me that maybe I need to be ready to say a few words tomorrow. So I’ll jot a quick outline on a note card, just in case.

I just parboiled a buttload of 'maters. Shortly, I shall skin and mash 'em for another batch of homemade 'mater sauce. Yum. I think supper is gonna be leftover meatloaf and whatever I find in the fridge.

**FedEx **- I’m sorta a little sad, but not much. It’s a big change and that’s scary, but honestly, the way things have gone and the way I think they’ll be going, I need to be out of there. I just want to get thru the next 3 days without bawling. It’s not one of my better looks.

That’s all for now - more later. Kitchen beckons.

taxi78cab, I hope you don’t mind; I mentioned you in the wedding dress thread because I remember I really liked your wedding dress (I believe you wore an old Victorian style lace number). I was very charmed by it!

Due to the fact that I have turned into a slug that does not want to cook, Papa John’s is makin’ dindin. However, I have made a nice green sallit to make it all healthy. This means I will have had sallit twice in one day. I am therefoe super healthy!

First on 2?

I’ve got the 'mater sauce ingrediments in the crock pot ready to be plugged in tomorrow when I leave for work. No cinnamon this time - I used white wine instead.

There are 4 ears of Amish corn in the steamer, and they will accompany meatloaf sammiches for supper. And there’s a load of clothes in the dryer. Very productive afternoon, eh? I’ll make up for it by being a slug tonight. Yay.

Except I need to write my “speech” or something. Meh.

Papa John’s garlic butter sauce is the shizznit, swampbear! Enjoy!

Home from the orafice after a long day. PennDot is in the middle of their semi-annual “You Can’t Get There From Here” festival so I spent more “quality time” than usual with my Chevy. My sandwich supper was nothing to write home about, but the ice cold Duke beer I’m having to celebrate my new raise is nice.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed you make it through the next few days with dry eyes, FCM!

Bri2k

Yay for raise Brick!

Got home a little bit ago from a funeral visitation. The mother of a friend/church member died after a fairly long illness. I had met her a couple of times but didn’t really know her. However, we do these things to support our friends, right?

And on that note, I think I will go lie upon the bed and watch me some teevee. 'Tis rainy out, so nice sleepy bye weather.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Had my review today, I meet expectations(i.e., didn’t burn down store when provoked). Making a Greek style dinner(red wine and rosemary chicken, lemon spinach, and rice with kalamata and garlic stuffed olives).

Been getting into the fortified brownies again?:wink:

swampy, two salits in one day? health freak!

Thanks! Although I want credit for having picked a dress that was very much like Kate’s dress, 4 years ahead of her. :stuck_out_tongue:

Still at work. ::sigh:: Almost out of here though. Then going out to eat 'cause I’m too tired to cook. And I’m still stinging from last night’s failure. I put beet greens into a pasta recipe that calls for kale. We like it very much with kale, and we usually like beet greens. But… it was bad. Just bad. :frowning: And I had grown the beets so if it wasn’t the recipe, then it was the greens themselves that were bad, and they were my responsibility too! Oh well.

More tomorrow when I’m hopefully less crazy!

I was contacted by a reporter for the Houston Chronicle today! They are doing an article on A Simple Thread. How cool is that? My friend has also been in contact with the local news, and we might see some more publicity soon. Yay!

Today I decorated my co-worker’s cubicle with an “It’s a Boy” banner, and hangy down things with cutouts of baby feet and bottles and stuff. It looks so cute!

I started a drive for donations at irk. I found out that my company makes 100% matching donations to approved charities. I signed up A Simple Thread. Woo-hoo!

Dinner was salmon with lemon pepper, broccoli w/ cheese sauce and wild rice. YUM!

sleeptime

Hi meeks! Nice to see you stop by again.

Yay for publicity, Rebo!

Sorry the beet greens didn’t work out, taxi. Maybe they needed to be seasoned a bit differently than the kale?

Had a hot dog and coleslaw for din din at the last summer concert for the year. :frowning: Music was really fun.

Tired. Another long day at work. Although I wrote a policy. Woo hoo.

rosie’s sig to all I’ve missed.

Extra hugs.
