Will Rap music EVER go away?

giggle

oh no, wait: boggle. Sorry.

That’s the one.

I guess I don’t like rap because of the bass. My military experience with the artillery took care of most of my high-range hearing. Rap music seems to be assaulting what I have left.

No, let me clarify…I don’t like my renter’s rap because of the bass. Hell, I’d hate Enya if you turned the super sub woofers up loud enough to create fault lines.

Maybe that’s why I don’t like it in general: much of seems to be designed to be played with the bass set on a level equal to a Saturn V exhaust.

“it”

Feel free to place that little word anywhere in the third-to-last line of my post that you feel is appropriate.

No one is saying that you must go out and look for good rap. We are saying that you ought to make some effort to learn about a genre of music before dismissing it entirely and making broad, baseless statements like “rap sucks because all the rap I hear on the radio sucks.” If you don’t have the time or the interest to go looking for it, that’s (obviously) understandable. What gets me is that you and the Tarkus and Longroad seem to think that a well-informed opinion about an entire genre of music can be adequately based on such a small sampling.

Try saying something like “I don’t know much about rap, but what I’ve heard sucks, and I don’t really care enough to listen to more.” No one can fault you for that.

Just my god damned luck.      I’m JUSt the Paranoid White Boy for her, too. What a drag.

Sorry, Gad, but I love her more.
