I asked Lynn to suspend my privilages for a while 'cus I was getting really worked up about stuff on a… MESSAGE BOARD!!! I needed a bit of a break to get some perspective.
I noticed on LJ that SDMB had gone to pay and so I ask Lynn to cancel my suspension so I could subscribe.
Lynn, poor harrassed, overworked admin that she is, has probably forgotten to change me to Charter Member. I assume she’ll get to eventually and in the mean time, people can enjoy my “special status.”

I was brought up to be conservative. I was also brought up to question authority and to distrust politicians. I was taught that these were attributes of a coinservative.
I’m from Ar, so understood what Clinton was about before most of youse guys. All the same, I saw him with the Iran Contra Scandal as a backdrop. And I thought, “Well, at least he’s not that bad.”
I see so many of those who are self reported conservatives who have an inherent trust of politicians and their cover stories- people who find excessively repetitive denials to be continually plausible. This is outrageous.
