You know what’s annoying? When you steal someone else line; Flytrap should have been the one to say this. :o
train, train, train (very excited here). My dad has been making model railroad cars and layouts and stuff as long as I can remember. His entire garage is full of related materials. I have made a car or two myself. Which he kept. The stinker. Very glad to meet a fellow hobbyist. 
You will have to let me know if there are any good stores left in the area.
We had ice, then 3-4 inches of snow, which made for fun driving. I had to go out for a few things before my trip. Folks were doing sensible things like towing the kids on inter tubes. :smack: It was just enough snow to hide all of the curbs and islands, and there was ice under it. Most people were geared up and driving appropriately, but I got to watch a few amusing (to me) incidents. I am a bad, bad person.
The train ride was fine. The parlor car was on it (it houses the bar, which I like for long, winter evenings - also the wifi). It was also very slow. The first half was delayed by lots of ice. The second half was delayed by lots of water and flooding. 10 inches of rain in a few hours in parts of California. Water up to and over the tracks. I’m going to fly home tomorrow night.
I think there was supposed to be freezing rain back in Oregon today, but all my husband said was that there was icy rain, maybe? I gather he stayed inside and napped.
