Will this blasted movie ever get on DVD?!?!

Due out on Criterion.

My Name Is Bruce. First it was going to be released in the theaters back in September, then it was going straight to DVD in October, now it is in release limbo, with a supposed DVD release next fucking June, but I am now skeptical that it will make that. All this despite being shown at several film festivals over the past summer.

Campus Ladies! The few episodes I’ve seen have been some of the funnies TV in existence. I need more!

Weird - me too!

I’ve almost bought it a few times from Amazon.co.uk, because I have a second DVD drive I keep in my computer set at Region 2. But alas, I have been too cheap to do so.

I’ve bought a few things from amazon.uk. Depending on the title (not this one, frinstance, which I’m trying to talk myself out of buying), it can be pretty reasonable. Shipping is not outlandish and I tend to get them pretty quickly.

Did Daria ever get a DVD release?

I’m still waiting for Spaced to be available in the US.

Something about music rights or whatever.

No and I’d say there’s a snowball’s chance in hell that it will. It’s stuffed full of copyrighted music and nobody cares enough (at MTV) to go through and redub it all.

The Cremaster Cycle by Matthew Barney. I have already seen The Order, but that isn’t enough. I want it all, dammit!

How many DVD releases are being held up because of music issues? Dark Skies is another.

Really? Hmm, I may have to add that to my Christmas list.
And I second Dark Skies. Last time one of these threads came around, I was all excited about the DVD release finally being set for October 07. Then it was cancelled, as too many shows are, because of music licensing costs.

The Kevin Kline version of The Pirates of Penzance. It’s very silly, but we love it.

Good choice too.

Yes! I’ve only seen a couple season 1 eps, and most of season 2, and I’d love to have it on DVD.

The other one that drives me nuts is Enchanted April. I despair of it ever coming out.

On ABC2 TV Australia at 10PM Friday night.

Andy Richter Controls the Universe. What’s the holdup?

It would be great if someone would see fit to release the legendary UK TV production Cathy Come Home in the US. And Kes.

Ladies and Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains remains at the top of my list, along with a box set of Max Headroom. I understand why LAGTFS might not make the DVD cut but one would think that MH would have been a no-brainer.

I’d also like to have a box set of Matt Frewer’s sitcom, Doctor, Doctor.

All of the as-yet unreleased episodes of MST3K.

A complete set of The Tick and not these “we can’t clear the rights to one episode per season” bullshit sets that are coming out.

The late, lamented Wolf Lake and John Doe.

I’m pessimistic. Disney has this list of all their movies, and in the Q-S section, they have Song of the South listed. Now, see that bit on the left that says, " Not currently for sale; If you would like Disney to release this title on DVD, click here to let us know"? Click there, and a window will open up that lets you send an email. However, look at what’s listed under “title request” in this new window. “Null”. If you do the same thing with any other movie on the list, the title of the movie will fill in.

The subtle message being, “we don’t want to hear about anyone wanting Song of the South.”

Ishtar, which I’ve never seen, but have always been curious about. A friend who did see it told me he thought I’d enjoy it.
