Ebay. That’s where I got mine.
I really wish they’d release “A Matter of Life and Death” (also known as “Stairway to Heaven”) with David Niven and Kim Hunter on Region 1 DVD so I could buy it for my father, who desperately wants a copy and is uninterested in the expense of a all-region player or doing any tinkering that would make the Region 2 release work for him.
I see four new and used Region 1 copies of Stairway to Heaven for sale at Amazon.com, starting at $14.99.
You mean that surrealistic '60s British thing with the Pink Floyd soundtrack and the gratuitous appearance by the God of Hell-Fire? That’s out…I got it from Netflix a few months ago.
I have one that I just tried to get that I never expected to be a problem: The Incredible Shrinking Man. Amazon has two editions of it, one a four pack of films that is going for $175 used and the other a PAL region 2 release (a search also returns a monster collection that does not have the movie in it; I had to go look for a complete listing of the films to confirm this).
So apparently there was a one time, brief DVD release that’s long gone and now there’s nothing for this SF classic…
No, The Committee was a 60’s improv group out of San Francisco. I have a classic session from VHS that includes Howard Hesseman before WKRP. He was using the name Don Purdy. Peter Bonerz is another cast member.
I’ve been waiting for years for Cast a Deadly Spelll. My VHS copy is just about unwatchable now. Fred Ward, Clancy Brown, Julianne Moore, David Warner, Cthulu, zombies - everything a movie should be.
Also, The Sins. Saw it years ago on BBC America and keep waiting for it to come out so I can show it around. It’s the performance that locked Pete Postlethwaite in my mind as the ideal casting choice for Sam Vimes.

Picket Fences. They’ve released other bullshitty shows in huge box sets, and this?
