WinAmp and *.mp3 Id3 tags

I’m having trouble with WinAmp.
It’s not letting me update the tags on some of my *.mp3 files. Some of them it does, and others it says it has, but when you check later, it hasn’t.

I thought it might be because the files were listed as read-only, but this doesn’t seem to be the case.

I’m running Windows XP, if that’s relevant…

Anybody know why this is hapening?

If you’re using Winamp3, you have to press “Save Changes” on the bottom.

Also, ID3v2 tags take precendence over ID3v1. If you’re editing the ID3v1 tags, make sure there’s no ID3v2.

Yeah, I’ve been doing both of those. I click ‘Save Changes’ and it gives me a ‘File updated’ message, but doesn’t update anything- for example, the track title in the playlist.
