Windows 7 Contacts : adding new contacts.

I just received my new HTC Desire Android smartphone :smiley:

It comes with a utility to sync contacts between the phone and Windows Contacts. This seems to work just fine but I need to transfer my numbers stored on an ancient Motorola to the HTC and the two are incompatible formats :(. How can I manually add new contacts on the PC - at least then I could cut-n-paste? All I can find is the directory where the contacts files are stored.

Scratch that - found what I needed. Had to install Windows Live Mail - which will NOT become my default email client and may not even remain installed post weekend.
