I’m looking for a single Windows 10 multimedia app that will allow me to play music (.mp3 files), run a slide show (ppt or something else), and run videos (.mp4 or .mov files) without having to switch between a variety of apps.
I need this for a film festival I produce every year and I’m having trouble finding something suitable. It doesn’t have to be free.
I don’t have a solution that meets all of your requirements, but I will mention that the PPTs (or whatever you use) are probably going to be the biggest problem.
I present training classes that use PPTs primarily. It is MUCH easier for me to embed audio and video files in the PPTs than to find a separate media player that can reliably present the media files AND the PPTs. My PPTs use animation (including timers for little quizzes) and it’s hard as heck to get them to work properly with non-MS PPT apps. Unfortunately, PowerPoint does not like some audio and video formats, so I end up converting them to formats that can be easily embedded and accessed. Don’t know if this would be a dealbreaker for you.
Convert your PowerPoint(s) to MP4 and then use the free VLC media player for your audio and video.
