I just discovered from the Canon site that XP doesn’t support the BJ210C fax/printer so there is no driver for it. Does anyone know of a workaround?
Have you tried connecting the printer to the computer? Win XP has a whole slew of native drivers. There may be one for the BJ210 built in.
Got an old win98 box lying around that you can use as a print server of sorts?
XP gives the yellow question mark in Device Manager but says the driver is working correctly.
I had to convert the 98 to XP to get the ADSL running.
Interesting, because I have a very similar model
That printer is supported natively by Windows XP.
Go to Printers and Faxes, Add Printer, and select Canon BJC-210.
Eleusis is correct. Certainly shows up on my list, anyway.
Ok. I’m going crazy. The site said it wasn’t supported and now it does. Mea culpa.
Damn… that’s a positively ancient printer model. Can you even buy ink for it anymore?
If you’re still having trouble- the Canon i250 and i350 are going for about $50 these days, and are terrific printers for most uses.
