Wish me luck! (also titled, Baby Nightingale is on the way)

YAY!

I just love babies!
Sam is a great name.
Don’t worry about feeling out of control, out of sorts and totally inept. Between all the hormones rushing unchecked through your system right now, sleep deprivation and caring for that little mass of atoms that are also a tax deduction
( w00t!) it is hard to get things straight.
Since you will be gettin’ loads of Momma Advice, here is my two -bits:

a)Forget the housekeeping. Let hubby take care of it.

b)Sleep when the baby sleeps. Just lay there with him and stare at him memorizing how soft his skin is, how pert his nose, how long the eye lashes are.
When the second one comes along, the Adoration Committee ( you and family) pretty much disappears.

c) As you lay there with him, begin your brainwashing now. " You will always come when called in a public place to your mommie. That will make mommie happy." " You will not dump all your toys out at once and then leave the room for more destruction." “You will pee with the seat up and have perfect aim.”…

Not that it will help at all, but it is a fun experiment.
Enjoy that baby!

Didn’t you get your invite to the doper orgy?
Congrats! He’s a cutie!

Another fuzz-head to welcome into the world! Welcome, Sam! You’re mom is new at this so a little patience would be appreciated.

Babies! Yay!

Congratulations new parents, on your beautiful little ones.

Congratulations! Due with my second on Valentine’s day. Even though I’ve got a 2 year old daughter I still know that I’ll fee overwhelmed and bewildered by my new little guy. Comes with the territory.

E-mail if you want to commiserate.

I followed your thread about the twins religiously, and am so glad they’re both finally home. I can’t imagine how you and your wife must have felt while Serena was in hospital.

Oh,and just for my fun – more pics!

Okay, I’m glad I scrolled all the way to the top on those pictures because I was getting scairt that Nightingale was a little looney.

Congratulations! He’s as sweet as a sticky bun and if I were holding him, I’d be looking at his itty bitty toes right now. (There is NOTHING as cute as baby toes.)

Oh! He’s the most adorable little thing! He looks like a miniature Slovakian warlord! Just needs a furry hat and a shaggy horse. There’s a hella strength o’ character in those eyes.

And those cheeks! Can you stand it?

…er…I’m doing that pregnant lady gushing thing again, aren’t I?

Hey, if you click “next” when you get to his picture and keep clicking it real fast it looks like he’s voguing!

He’s beautiful! Congratulations!

Yay! Good luck! I was induced at 37 weeks for different reasons. They used prostin gel, pitocin, and an amniotomy. Lasted 29 hours, but only a half hour of pushing.

I highly recommend an epidural. They are your friend.

Good luck! Congrats! Enjoy your new cuddle-muffin!
