I’ll admit I’m a little tardy with this. I wasn’t posting from the labour room, like some, but 11 days late, I would like to announce the safe arrival of our wee son, Sam.

The story that started on 1st July last year, concluded on the 3rd April, 10 days overdue! Induction was started at 4pm on Friday, and rapidly progressed - fully dilated by midnight, with Sam arriving, with a little assistance, at 03.04am. The whole thing was surreal.

I’m currently still in a bit of new parent shock, but things are going well, all things considered. I’ll try to post a photo soon, if I can figure how to do it with one hand…

This must be the baby season - while my husband was hospitalized this weekend, I spent most of the time with him, but on the very rare occasions when I ventured out, I encountered FOUR sets of new parents loading their tiny bundles into their cars. Considering what a small hospital our county has, it seemed rather amazing! Maybe it’s something in the water?? :smiley:

You think it’s baby season now, just wait until mid-September or so. I’m predicting a bumper crop in the last 3 months of this year.

It’s definitely baby season in the Dope - is this the 3rd or 4th Doper baby since the beginning of March?

There are at least three more Dopers due in the August/September timeframe, and at least one more due before that though I can’t remember when.

Oh, he’s precious. Man, it’s hard to believe they were ever that small. Mine is 14 months old now and tearing up the house. :wink:

Oh he’s so sweet! I’m happy to hear you guys are doing well. I think we do have several more dopers giving birth this year. I’m due the first week of July with a little boy!
