This is the same courthouse where my brother-in-law used to work as a US Marshal. He was assigned to the DC courts for three years, while there was a freeze on all transfers. He was finally transferred to Charleston in May.
The Marshal who was stabbed was a co-worker and friend of his. The BIL hasn’t spoken to him since this happened, but the injuries weren’t that serious. I know I met him when I visited once, but I can’t put a face to the name. (I met a bunch of his co-workers at dinner one night.)
How did this chick get a pair of scissors into the courtroom in the first place? This is kinda creeps me out. I mean, you always see on court TV dramas how there’s a disturbance in the courtroom, but I guess I never thought about it being that dangerous.
