Who do you think would win in this confrontation – Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman versus Arnold Schwarzeneggar’s Terminator?
(I chose the TV version over the current comic book version to make it a more interesting fight – since she is now portrayed as just slightly less powerful than Superman, she would tear him apart in about two seconds!)
So what do you think – would the Amazon or the android prevail?
Terminator. Look at what a hard time WW had with the spy chick from the pilot ep and the gorilla. Not to mention that S1 WW lost her magic belt (and thus her powers) pretty much constantly. And while she could deflect any bullets he might fire at her, I don’t think her bracelets would stand up to a plasma rifle in the 40 watt range (yes I know he didn’t have one, it’s a joke, shut up). The T would take her out in no time.
Although now that I think of it, S2 or S3 WW did save the planet by interposing herself between an extremely powerful laser at very close range and completely blocked the beam for something like a full minute.
So maybe you need to be more specific as to which season of WW you mean.
I actually was thinking of the way she was portrayed in the CBS years, when the show was set in the 1970s, not World War 2. She did seem more powerful then, didn’t she?
I was also considering (though I did not mention it my original post!) a physical confrontation, after the Terminator had all his bullets deflected by her bracelets, and has closed in to grapple with her! When it came down to pure physical strength and fighting skills, who would prevail?
In a pure physical throwdown I still gotta go with T. Now if can get some distance and access her own arsenal, she can hurl her boomerang tiara and maybe lop T’s head off, or perhaps do her patented double-javelin throw and pin his arms back long enough to take him down. I wonder if there’s enough organic about T to subject him to the power of her magic lasso? Because if so she could simply lasso him and compel him to sit there until he rusts. Or at least snag him in it since it’s unbreakable.
So in summary, T if it’s pure physicality, CBS WW if weaponry is allowed.
Are you including Wonder Woman’s pair of 38’s as weaponry?
Not that this thread is a topic for the ages or anything, but do you think in future you could reign in the moronic “Wonder Woman has large breasts” jokes? I mean, you know she has large breasts and I don’t care, so how about skipping it?
Could Wonder Woman compel obedience if she lassoed the Terminator? If so (and it’s there to be argued, since the Terminator did have human flesh), then She’d win easily.
Even if not, she’d have a good shot against him, since although strong, the Terminator was never shown to have super-speed. Wonder Woman has super-speed, and therefore could give him a good working-over with a heavy pipe faster than he could react.
I don’t think the belt would work on him. I seem to recall an episode where an athlete (a nice guy) was being given some sort of performance-enhancing drug by the bad guy.
WW lassoed him, and he just said, “Sorry, Wonder Woman,” and slipped it off.
If a regular guy on super steroids could do that, I seriously doubt that Ol’ Ahnoid couldn’t.

I remember that one! The evil scientist had given him a drug that made him impervious to injury, thus rendering him immortal (but without conferring super strength)! As a fellow immortal to our heroine, he could not be compelled to obey!
I don’t think the lasso would affect a machine/android in the sense of compelling to obey or tell the truth. Of course, she could still wrap it around him (it is indestructible!) and hurl him against some hard metal surfaces until the terminator is too damaged to be a threat!

He MIGHT be able to kill her otherwise but if raping is his skill, then, you and Terminator failed. No Terminator has ever tried to rape a human. They know that shit don’t work.

TERMINATOR rapes because I dont know becaue he could do anything he wanted with her. he could slap wonder woman, batman, spiderman, ironman and batgirl just for fun… Just to have the time of his life.
The Terminator was defeated by an ordinary human. Anything that Reese or Sarah did, Wonder Woman could do, too, and a heck of a lot better. How would the Terminator stand any chance whatsoever?
Coincidentally, the original TV Wonder Woman (i.e. the 1974 TV movie that indicated to ABC that the character was bankable even if the attempt took ridiculous liberties with the source material, to be corrected for the Lynda Carter version) was played by Cathy Lee Crosby, who “raped” (statutory) Michael Biehn (Sarah Connor’s original protector) in 1978’s Coach.
humans beating THE TERMINATOR is wrong. reese was like rambo he had the most experience fighting TERMINATOR’s and failed horribly at killing the T-800. reese ended up dying by the hands of a the T-800. sarah didnt kill him either it was a hydrolic press. she pushed a button and a machine had to do the work for her.
when a human goes toe to toe with a T-800 in a hand to hand combat and kills it than maybe well talk, but until then humans fail horribly at killing the T-800
the T-800 would smash wonder woman the T-800 defeated every model that was made after him. he even defeated the T-1000. The T-X Showed to of had way more durability than wonder woman and still died and got her ass kicked multiple times by TERMINATOR. wonder woman cannot even resist bullets. the T-800 was hit with shotgun shells, bullets, plasma weapons, grenade launchers and none fased him. T-800 destroyes because he does true story.
I realize you’re going for speed and not clarity, here, but Reese died in an explosion he himself caused, i.e. the Terminator beat him down and stepped over him to get to Sarah, at which point Reese jammed his last pipe bomb into the Terminator’s pelvic region. The blast killed Reese and blew the Terminator’s legs off, leading to the dramatic crawl through the hydraulic press.
no the explosion didnt kill reese lol if it did then reeses body would of been in pieces worse than the terminators was… reese got shot by the terminator during that roadrage if you dont recall. from then on he was dying and thats what the cause of his death was ( THE TERMINATOR shot him while he was throwing pipe bombs out the window ) reese got shot because he was stupid. when reese scored his last point with that pipe bimb he rolled down the stairs out of the way and just then he bled to death and died. THE T-800 didnt die nor did he fall for a trap.
