I just got the Wi-fi connector I ordered last week and finally have my Wii hooked up to the internet. The software is pretty decent (some form of Opera, I think.) Typing’s a bit of a pain since you use an on screen cursor. It’s like typing with one finger.
Oh well, it’s still pretty cool.
Note - This is thoroughly mundane and pointless so I’m putting it her. Mods - Move this as you see fit.
The Wii has been out for almost 5 months now and I still haven’t been able to find one. (Well, I saw a couple in the knock-off markets when I was just in China, but I didn’t want to throw money at that when it might not even work.).
Yeah, I’m in the same situation. I can’t find one at any store anywhere in the Bay Area. I’ve just given up looking for now, and might try again sometime in July or something.
Sorry for the bump, but “Wii” is too short a term for the search field to search.
Q: Wasn’t there a thread listing/suggesting apps/programs for the Wii that were downloadable? We just got the internet hook-up and I’d like to see if we could maximize the experiance. You know, for my son.
I love the feature, but I can’t get my stupid Wii to hold its settings with my wireless router. The only way I can get it to do so from session to session is to turn off encryption on my router (leaving it open to the neighborhood). Very frustrating
The new updates to the Internet Channel are very nice. I like it better than I did before.
As long as we’re posting Wii-gaming links, here’s Viidelectrix- games from the Homestar Runner website redone for the Wii. Population Tire is my favorite, but burninating peasants with Trogdor and asploding Strong Bad’s head are nothing to sneeze at. either.
