After looking since the first of November 09, I am getting ready to finish up my first work week tomorrow.
I think I like it, it involves lots of research which I like, and is even paying me $15 an hour and is 40 hrs a week.
And apparently I only attract jobs with obscure programs that I have to learn.
-Sears network running on their networked IBM PS/1’s
-Lightspeed Unix
-Lightspeed NXT
-Learned SAP R/3 to help my resume look better
-and now some other obscure ADP software from the 80’s.
Oh, and upon being hired I was called by two agencies that had jobs lined up for me.
Navi: not all of SAP, just the tutorial, as it is a special program I would not be able to run on my home pc (a friend borrowed the tutorial for me from his work). But, many jobs were asking for at least some familiarity with it from applicants.
I have officially learned more about trucks than I ever knew, and even got some “advice” from a customer about marriage (no I didn’t ask and am still not sure how the conversation meandered that way).
