I’m in Tahoe with my wife and baby son went skiing at Heavenly they stayed in the cabin. I ski pretty well but usually avoid Gun Barrel because well it’s a double black diamond kick ass run. Today I made it down without falling or looking like a complete dork. Wife and kid don’t understand how cool that is.

As a former skier I congratulate you on your accomplishment. Something like that would have scared the crap out of me(liking skiing and being afraid of heights is not a good mix). Now you should try it again, just to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. 
PS-when I first read the thread title I missed the ski run part, I thought this was going to be about being mugged or something.
Good work, man! It is difficult to impart the thrill of doing something like that to a non-skier. They just look at you oddly.
I recall the first time I got down the Nose Dive (before they ruined it by taking out the Seven Deadly Turns) at Mt Mansfield in Stowe. Whatta thrill.
Next time take a video camera with you and record it all the way down.
