Words for sh*t

In our house when we were growing up we called it “stinks”.

Floater
Soup
Ice cream

Ahh I got one!

Hraka!

That, in case you didn’t know, is rabbit language for pellets, as per Watership Down by Richard Adams. He has a whole glossary of rabbit language in there

Wow… I just called it “the business.”

I’m partial to “defecus”.

It’s used in the sentence, “Any slight defecus, results in a resist profile which can be eroded laterally dudng the potyimide etch,” from this page, so it must be real.

The Inuit really don’t have as many words for snow as people are led to believe. There’s a great article by a cognitive psychologist named Steven Pinker (I can’t recall the name of the article though) who exposes this idea as exaggeration.

Oh, and don’t forget “dookie”…

Here’s a link that deals briefly with the urban legend of “Eskimo Vocabulary for Snow” Hoax and a little bit about how it originated:

How about fecaloma ?

how about coprolite?

How about tasty?

Just kidding.

This long a thread, and no mention of #2?

Glad someone got coprolite I couldn’t remember the name for fossilized shit.

OK a little explanation, the words should be just a single word (hence no number 2’s) and should if used in this sentance or one similar be clearly refering to shit.

There was a <shit-word> on the ground.

With some exceptions for particularly specialised words, such as stool, which though it doesn’t work in the above sentance, is a very common and correct turm used in medicine.

So new words to go in the OP list are
Scientific / Medicaldump

dysentery
fecaloma
coprolite

Childish

poopie
poop
poo-tinky
plop
dookie

Horticultural / Animal

pellets
REMOVE paty and cake

Rude

growler
scat
Which gets us to 40 while removing all dodgy doo-doo’s

wait doo-doo is a good Childish one, OK so now we have 41
Any Shakespearien, Chaucerian words from those bawdy writers?

My bad, allready had doo-doo,
also double checking I see that excreta is shit or piss so won’t do. So we have just 39 so far.
Floater is one I can’t decide if it fits or not, anyone want to chime in?

Thanks for the links to the Eskimo/snow fallicy.
But no one has linked to The Master yet.

How about the runs?

Why not? Arguing in defense of keeping the word, if were used in the proper context, it would clearly be about shit. “Watch out! You almost stepped in that pile of excreta!” If you said “Boy! Don’t splash around in that excreta puddle!”, you would assume piss.

Your witness.

The name of your boss. As in, “I just went and took a William.”

I heard one dude say Donkey waylow, I was assuming that meant shit, maybe not?

Also, when you have the runs, you can shit through a screen and not hit a wire.

Grunt, as in “Dude, in the future kindly refrain from taking a grunt on my front porch.”

I always thought it was one of the more descriptive words in the English language. If I say to someone even from Java or somewhere that “Boy howdy, do I ever have to go take a grunt” I’m pretty sure he’ll know just what I’m talking about.

Durf, as in “Honey, hurry up and flush that durf before the neighbors call the cops again.”

and let us not forget The Master’s word. I spent a looooong time looking for ‘fewmet’ last night…stoopid internet not finding what I want, stoopider me not using ‘dropping’ in my search.

Infidel!
