Just posting to say that I never really noticed the tuning change after 7.2. In fact, I’ve noticed lately that I can relatively easily solo the “raid” world quest mobs (not the world bosses obviously, but the wardens quests with dragons around their portraits). Even on Broken Isle the elites are just melting.
Got a 4th legendary to drop last night, its getting kind of interesting to decide which ones to wear for different scenarios. But also gotta make sure I keep decent pieces to equip when I switch them out (oops).
My Arcane Mage (ilvl 892) can solo damn near anything, including solo tanking and killing world bosses up to about 90M health. I one shot or 2 shot anything with less than 3.5M health.
My Prot Pally (ilvl 853) can solo damn near anything, including solo tanking and killing world bosses up to about 90M health. Takes her about 4-5 shots to take out a mob with less than 3.5M health, tho, as her dps is significantly less than the mage.
In all, I still have fun running around, but the game is pretty obviously Care Beared at this point, IMO. My Pally has been played less than 10 days total, is 110, is halfway geared and was able to tank LFR for Halls of Valor; I’m gonna give Nighthold a go tonight.
I should have Legion Pathfinder 2 done tomorrow on my mage, so now I’ll be able to just fly in, do my shit and fly out. I still think flying ruins the game in a lot of ways, tho.
Just got my Ratstallion! Woot!
So just like in WoD, when you get Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part Two it unlocks flying on all your toons. No fee required; just start flying.
I was wondering about that. I’m still about 8K rep away though…
Still slogging away in Pathfinder I. Running with Millhouse the Magnificent as my sidekick. Starting to agree with him about destroying the world. This achievement bloweth goats. I wish that whoever designed this abomination never have both milk and Oreos at the same time again.
I can’t bring myself to even try to grind flying. I’m still probably 7K from Revered. I just can’t do rep grinds.
Had a good night last night though. We got Heroic Gul’dan down and I hit 900 equipped. Woo.
I’ve got my new Champion in my stable, but Millhouse is still the best companion for world questing and stuff. My favorite thing about him is that when I Invis, so does he.
Grats on H Gul’dan and 900.
The rep grind isn’t bad at all. If you do the 4 or 5 dailies that should be available to you when you log on (assuming you log on each day at about the same time), you should collect at least 125 Legionfall Resources, which you can turn in at the Architect Table. 100 LR = 150 Legionfall Rep. If you kill the mini-bosses that are all over the island, each of those will drop from 4-9 Legionfall Resources. In addition, each mini-boss kill is worth 75 rep and completing each Daily Quest is worth 75 rep. It’s not hard to make 750-1000 rep in less than an hour of playing. Also, the campaign quests give quite a bit of rep for completion, but right now those are only becoming available once a week.
Also do Kirin Tor emissaries. You can get a Legionfall token from that now for 750 rep.
:smack:
I forgot about that and I was wrong about the mini-bosses giving rep; they don’t. They do drop Legionfall War Supplies, Order Resources and Nethershards tho.
You’re going to want to save those Nethershards. Don’t spend them on armor (you’ll get it as drops; trust me on this) and don’t spend them on keys until you get your Lingering Wyrmtongue Essence (50K Nethershards).
Soooooooo…
I’m starting to get back into the game for the first time since Pandas became a thing.
Any hints for those who are just coming back after a several-expansion break?
Read thru this thread, for one thing.
Most important thing to know about Legion xpac? ABU: Always Be Upgrading your Artifact weapon.
Have fun!
All I need for Pathfinder 1 is “A Change of Seasons”, and apparently that quest won’t available until i get exalted with The Nightfallen. I’m at 14K into Revered, so it will be awhile.
Then on to whatever suckitude is in the Broken Isles. I did one world quest there–the one with all the murlocs being corrupted. The mob density there is insane. I died 4 times there because I kept getting swarmed as soon as I rezzed. No time to even eat to regain max health.
Did a few world quests this morning before work and ended 15 rep (yes 15) away from flying. LOL. Good news is I have a follower mission rewarding rep tokens that should be done before I can log on tonight, so I should get the achievement basically as soon as I can get to my mission board!
I’m also excited to see how often this “double AP” class hall perk procs (especially since my current point is 64 million or something like that).
If you enjoy it, make sure you do the Withered Army Training every few days (I think its on a 3 day reset timer?) if you get enough points you’ll get quite a few Nightfallen rep tokens upon completion.
For the first time I find myself not really caring about grinding flying in WoW. Granted, I’ve been more than a little distracted with real world problems for the past 6 months, but honestly, it’s just too much bother for what should be an entertaining game and not a second job.
I do enjoy that one. Still looking for the 2nd berzerker so I can open the door to the right.
Did some more questing in Broken Isles. Got the new follower, at least.
Woo! got my flying tonight, and then my guild finally got heroic Spellblade Aluriel, making us 6/10. We should get some good time in on Tichondrius or Botanist on Thursday!
There’s more than 1 new follower in 7.2, just so ya know.
I have only 5 more upgrades for Aluneth. Last night I got my 6th Legendary item to drop. And then I crafted some Legendary shoulders (Celumbra, the Night’s Dichotomy, also known as Fuck, the Day’s Pretention :p). I now have Legendary chest, neck, shoulders, legs, feet, ring and trinket. I wear the neck and the legs but now I’m trying out the shoulders. It really really sucks that we can only wear two. Especially since by my count before this expansion is over with, we’ll have plenty of epic gear that outranks the Legendary stuff.
Personally, the thing starting to bug me is my bags are filling up with things that are upgrades according to Pawn/Simcraft, but I can’t equip them because I can’t break my 4 piece bonus (4 piece is pretty important to enhance shaman).
