Grats! That’s always fun, and that mount still is pretty rare around town.
This transmog thing is turning into a stimulator of my completionist obsession. I found an addon that will list what item appearances you are missing from what instances. So now I find myself running old instanced content for transmog looks, not just for mounts or pets. Great.
I’m still farming Serpentshrine on my paladin, trying to get the boots and belt to drop from trash to complete the Crystalforge set. My warrior/blacksmith has the pattern to make a lookalike belt, but I’ll try to farm the stuff up first. The boots did drop once … for my mage.
OOOH, I hates that. I hates it soooo much. If the toon can’t wear it, it can’t count for unlocking transmog. DAMMIT.
It gets worse for items that have a class restriction. Even if, say, another clothie can transmog the appearance. Like, a mage wanting to wear T2 priest appearance. He can transmog to it, but he can’t earn the appearances. A priest has to do that. Grrr.
It’s the same thing that happened during all of my Molten Core farming. The pieces of Thunderfury dropped maybe five times … all for my priest and warlock.
There’s still a few of us. If I’m on there, it’s usually my orc rogue, Dugramm, or my tauren paladin, Donoma. Sometimes my troll hunter, Jabloo.
Aaaaah, finally finished Draenor Pathfinder today. All I needed was one more of those Tooth dailies for Saberstalker rep, and then get around to doing The Pit objective n Gorgrond.
I had tried soloing The Pit a couple weeks ago, but gave up at 16%. But now that my main is fully geared up from invasions, I headed back there today and managed to get up to 84%, which still entailed a number of corpse runs. After the death of my bodyguard, Ishaal, I hearthed back to my garrison and grabbed Delvar, then flew back to continue. As luck would have it, I met a hunter who was also trying to solo the thing, so I ran around with her and quickly completed it for myself.
Then, since I’m a swell guy, I stuck around with that hunter until she completed it as well
Unfortunately, since the Use ability scales with ilvl it will get scaled down to near nothing in timewalking. The 710 ring’s proc isn’t scaled down though, so it’s still good in TW.
Hey, I’ve been powerleveling a shaman via invasions, from level 1. (Well, invasions since level 6, after she got out of the dwarf starting area). She’s at 96 now
Anybody willing to roll a temporary Alliance toon on Lightbringer to help invite her into my vanity guild?
So I successfully built my first PC this weekend (woohoo!) and I regret waiting so long. I won’t have time to do the Alliance side of the events.
My Belf Outlaw rogue finished 4 invasions last night. Holy crap, it was a lot of fun. I haven’t seen so many other players on since Pandaria. I died about 20 times and paid about 380g in repairs, but it was really fun. Outlaw spec is quite a change even from Combat, the least sneaky Rogue spec, but I’m looking forward to seeing what it can do once I refine it.
I have an assload of WoD crafting materials to get rid of.
I did the Demon Hunter starting area and a bunch of invasions to get better gear and upgrade the weapons from the invasions.
I log in and get the quest to go to Dalaran and then teleport over to the Broken Isles. Yay!
I get there and dude is all, “Lets go get you some better weapons.”, which are of course better than the ones I spent a week upgrading, totally called that.
So dude is all ok lets go over here and you go and talk to a guy. I go in and the game is all, “Lol! Your dumb. You hvae to be 105 to come in here.”
So I go to fly down to the Isles to start questing and once again it’s, “Lol! you can’t fly down there, you have no discovered flight points down there.”
So what the fuck Blizzard? What am I supposed go and do half of my new levels back in Dreanor? Fuck that. That’s bullshit. I did Dreanor 3 times I really don’t want to do it again.
Fuck it. I’m done for the night. I guess I’ll wait a few days so other people can figure out what to do and how to get to 105 without doing Dreanor bullshit.
Well, I was annoyed so I went to the Blizz forums to see what others were saying and a few people where complaining that they couldn’t get into the Violet Hold just like me. Others said they were only lvl 100 and they got in just fine so I tried again and it let me in to “talk” to the guy and then complete the quest.
The next quest was to take a Felbat down to the Isles. I just landed and now in some scenario but I feel like I am back on track and can continue to quest and storyline.
I spent about 6 hours yesterday getting 5 of my toons their Artifact weapons: Arcane Mage, Marksman Hunter, Protection Warrior, Subtle Rogue and Affliction Warlock. I thought the Warlock quests and Class Hall were the coolest of the five but Bomage is my main, so he’s the one I’ll be working on the most.
I chose a different starting zone for each of them (well, for 4 of them) in the hopes that it at least keeps things interesting. I did really like the fact that each class and each spec will have a different quest chain for their Artifact. One of the things I miss about EverQuest is how every toon’s experience was different due to the abundance of quests so this is a welcome change to the usual cookie-cutter approach to questing that Blizzard has embraced.
This is why I like Star Wars: The Old Republic. Each class has it’s own story until the original level cap of 50. I mean everyone hit the same planets and the same non-story quests but there is enough story quests to keep each class unique. It really has made the re-playability great.
My experience with Launch Day for Legion was… interesting. Predictable, I suppose, but interesting.
I only played on my hunter. I figure I’ll level him to cap before I turn to any alts. I may change my mind.
For some reason, I had to re-do the quest to go back to Dalaran and talk to the spirit of the First Guardian to figure out where the Pillars of Creation were kept. (I did this during the invasion period, mostly to get rid of the obnoxious Arcane Elemental following me around with a quest exclamation point over his head.) But at least warping Dalaran to the Broken Isles went well.
Legendary quest went well. There has been much rage on forums about how tough some of the fights were for some characters, but I only had one death (overpulling in one of the trash fights at the beginning, by not paying attention to mechanics. In other words, “standing in fire.” :smack:)
Hunter hall stuff was not that impressive, TBH. “Look, it’s a big-ass hunting lodge. Whatevs.”
Quested in Azsuna. Fun, but I re-discovered the frustration of questing in a PvP realm. I fell in-step – questing with, advancing through zones – about half a dozen Alliance players who felt free to gank me any time they encountered me. That was about 10 deaths, which kind of slows down progress a little bit.
The zone and its quests were pretty nice, although they weren’t as pretty when seeing them in ghost-vision. I managed to get to level 101 and three quarters after about 4 hours playing.
Bleh. I hate this expansion already. Did the artifact weapon quest on my arcane mage. Found it absolutely ridiculously difficult. Very frustrating. Much death. Pondering looking for another game…
