I’ve been playing WoW for about six weeks now and have only just begun messing around with the user interface. I’m curious what mods you guys are using and what they do? In particular, I’m looking for something that will allow me to resize the chat window. IMO, it’s a little to wide. If nothing else, maybe move it a little. I tried using moveanything, but, you know what, the chat window seems to be an anything that you cannot move.
I am using the Ometh Nmod. It is not a mod itself, but a collection of a lot of different mods. I’ve only started playing around with Ometh. So far, I’m only using ct_mod with ct_barmod and ct_bottombar. This is to tweak my action bars and buttons.
One last question about mods. If I decide I don’t like a mod, how do I uninstall it?
You can unlock the chat window. Right click on the “General” tab at the top, and then click “Unlock Chat Window”. After that you should be able to resize and move that window.
I use the CTMod package (mainly for CTRaid Assist, though I like some of the other features too) and WhisperCast. One of my guildmembers was kind enough to share how to add ‘pretty pink paw’ to the list of keywords. I like to run as clean as possible, and it also means there’s a lot less I need to update on patch days.
I use Cosmos UI, Titan Panel, CT_RaidAssist, Gatherer, and Auctioneer. Cosmos has a great selection of addons and Titan Panel gives you a bunch of information in a small space.
I also use:
SmartPet(control various pet functions)
CastOptions(mainly to self cast buffs/heals/bubbles/etc)
FlightPath(tells you how long you will be on the gryph/bat)
ScrollingCombatText(shows damage/healing values above players’ heads)
ls3d CraftInfo(let’s you post crafting materials to a chat window)
Atlas(shows on-screen instance maps, with objective locations)
