I’d have believed that before the second plane hit. Now it’s obviously terrorist action, isn’t it?
The BBC is saying the second one was a small passenger plane, and they seem pretty sure that one was hijacked. This is terrible. There must be hundreds of deaths. I was there on holiday just a few weeks ago and I’m shaking with shock. My heart goes out to all you New Yorkers and especially to victims and their families.
Both towers are on fire right now. I can’t even believe what I am seeing on the news. They said on NBC that they are finding debris from the crash in Brooklyn, which I guess is several miles away. I’m not a religious person, but I’m praying for the people on the plane, in the building, and the unlucky people who may have been walking or driving in front of the building when this happened.
I meant to type 737. A 727 is larger. Douglas and another company make 737-size aircraft that I always confuse with the 737, but I don’t know what they’re called.
Absolutely unbelievable. I can’t believe that something like this is happening.

They’re saying 6 dead 1000+ injured now. I’m sure that’ll rise though I hope to God it doesn’t.

Oh absolutely. Right after that they said “Still, I can’t believe no one saw this on their radar and tried to talk the pilot away from it.” Which I’m sure the radar person did.
They’ve just closed every airport in NY. And there are people still in the top of the building. They’re landing people on the roofs to rescue.
There’s debris all over the place, but it’s mostly paper, so they’re kind of exxagerating on that point.
But it’s bad. Real bad. I’m across town, and the air smokey. I saw the second collision, but too late to say anything about the aircraft.
This is just awful. I’m intermittently cut off from news sources since my telcom provider is in the WTC, but I’ll report things as I learn them.
The other 737-size aircraft I was thinking of is the McDonnald-Douglass MD-80.
Normally I’m alseep at this hour (two o’clock classes are nice,) but for some reason I woke up at 6 AM and stayed up. I heard on the radio that a plane hit the WTC, wow, I thought.
Then they said a SECOND plance hit the second tower, so I turned on the TV and HOLY F*CKING SHIT!
The FBI and the airlines aren’t saying that the places were hijacked, but they ARE saying it was terrorism.
The reports just said the planes were 727, 737, 747, or 757’s.

President Bush on TV just confirmed that it was a terrorist attack.
CNN reporting an American Airlines 767 from Boston involved.
My heart goes out to the thousands of people that are affected by this.

The news reports an American Airlines jet flying from Boston to Los Angeles was hijacked. There could have been 100 innocent passengers on that aircraft. If the other aircraft was also hijacked, there may be 30 or so more. More if it was a larger aircraft.
Look out for airstrikes as soon as we know who did it.
Well, Amp, he did say apparent terrorist attack. It’s hard to believe that it’s anything else, but he’s being cautious in case this is a one in googleplex chance.
