I might be biased because I hate the show with a passion but I doubt I could warm up to that theme tune even if the show was different.
“This is the theme to Garry’s show…Garry called me up and asked if I would write his theme song…How do you like it so far?..”
Bah, the Garry Shandling theme is perfect.
The lyrics are doofy, but Garry is doofy, so that fits, and the self-references are part of the show, as a whole.
And the tune is catchy.
(And the Spider-Man theme is dire. The music’s annoying, the lyrics are mediocre…except for the quoted line, which is just…dumb.)
I like it well enough, too; I don’t get all the hate.
The video montage was sentimental pablum, too.

F Troup?
I thought it was a pleasantly schmaltzy ballad, literally mediocre – not particularly good but not particularly awful either, but it fit the show about as well as strawberry syrup on lobster thermidor.
The Ropers weren’t even trying.
F-Troop yes, the first season in black & white, later they changed to an animated opening without the lyrics.
You kidding? The theme is the best part of the show! Although the opening where they’re all “singing” the long version is vomit-inducing…
The theme to Joey is pretty horrible too.
The Dukes of Hazzard theme.
I hated the song, but I admit a fondness for the montage. Although I agree that it is awfully sentimental.

Nope, I’m with you. Me and the ex (reason not related) used to sing along to it.
I use to take the piss out of Smallville’s though. “Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaave me”. Not that I actually watch it anymore. It got dire very, very quickly.
Any theme song sung by Lee Majors (The Fall Guy) has to be mentioned as well!
I hated when the guy from Blues Traveler all of a sudden started singing lyrics to Roseanne’s theme song.
