In late nite reruns (playing opposite “Newsradio”,a fine show that doesn’t deserve to be placed on this topic) I’ve had the misfortune to see a show called “Unhappily Ever After”-crude, cruel, unfunny, and trying to “borrow” from other shows.
BTW, does anyone think “Malcom in the middle” will be a disaster? Fox is repalcing “Futurama” with THAT?

I am so proud of the little Kunilous (well, they’re all teen-agers now, so they aren’t that small.) The two boys decided, all by themselves, that TV wrestling sucked and quit watching it after a few shows. And I’m proud to say that our entire family DESPISES “Just Shoot Me.” In fact, we have a bonding moment whenever we accidentally turn it on.
The major problem with that show is that it assumes that because people are famous, their political views are important. However, most famous people are
-rich
-attractive
-poorly educated
-living in California or New York
This is not a recipe for representative thought.
And Bill Maher makes me want to kill. His favorite trick is to slip in an insane comment then go to commercial so he can’t be rebutted.
Example:
“Excellent thoughts, Keanu, but of course we must remember that all the Christians are secret Nazis bent on wiping out all Jews and Catholics and taking away the right of eight year-olds to marry their sisters, because they as puppets of the Evil Softening Fabric shadow government. We’ll be right back after these words from Downy.”

except its actually done in poorer taste!
i don’t think fraiser deserves to be on this list. i really enjoy that show, but my husband thinks at best it’s pretentious and at worst it’s just dumb.
i can’t get into anything on UPN but some of the kid shows on WB are actually pretty clever
Frasier * is one of the few shows on t.v. that I’ll watch. Of course, sometimes they have an “off” night. However, the episode where Niles is ironing his pants and they catch on fire, was a classic!
While I like * Will & Grace * all right, I think most of its success depends on the two supporting characters who aren’t in the title.

I’m truly shocked. No one has mentioned Touched By An Angel? That show is the most saccharine, annoying, and completely dreadful piece of shit that I’ve ever seen, and I used to watch ALF on a regular basis as a kid. I only wish The Simpsons and Futurama were destroying it in the ratings like they should be.

“Once and Again”. Simply loathsome. Just excrutiating, like watching your parents making out. I cannot for the life of me fathom why it , like Meg Ryan and Julia Roberts, is so popular. And they put off “NYPD Blue” until the next century for this cowflop?
I don’t watch tv and actually change channels. But what I hear behind me tells me that all the non cartoon shows on Nickelodeon are pretty stupid, plus about half the cartoons. I don’t mean Nick at Night old show reruns. But those are generallystupid. Actually, everything on tv went down in quality, up in quantity.
