If the country you currently live in was invaded by some tyrannical foreign power (hypothetically) and had your life turned upside down by the occupation of a foreign power, would you become a partisan, in the hopes of restoring your nation back to the way it was?
I guess the reason I ask this question is because whenever I hear someone ask “Why does the <insert resistence group> keep fighting?” I can’t help but put myself in their shoes, and wonder about what I would do if I was disenfranchised, and lost everything I had spent my lifetime to achieve.
For me, there would be a strong temptation to be a partisan, even though it would be extremely dangerous.
