Would you trust this company located in Nigeria if they offered a good paying Job? The reason for this question is the "history "of Nigeria’s propensity toward graft, dishonesty and swindling?

I sure would do as much research as I could before accepting. But I would do that for any any prospective employer. Just more if it’s halfway across the planet.
NLNG is a real company, but NurseCarmen is right - before you take a job anywhere it’s a good idea to do some homework. You can start finding out about the company by checking out their website.
Have them pay you in American (assuming you are such folk) dollars deposited in your account in an American (see above) bank.
Don’t buy property. Part of your employment contract should include a “housing allowance.”
Watch what you sign.
I can’t help you with the specifics of the company, but I have friends who have traveled and lived throughout the world during a 25 year career with a major American based oil company.
They are currently existing in Lagos, and even though they have 3,000 sq. ft. of living space, drivers, household help and tons of money, they’ve made it pretty clear that it’s really not an environment one from a “modern” country emigrates to willingly. They are living in a “compound” of sorts with others from their company; they are indeed Strangers in a Strange Land.
I would really think very long and hard about this if you’re doing it just for the money. It’s a major lifestyle change – as an example, they keep all of their grain products in the FREEZER (yes, including cereal) to keep the insects out of the containers. And, so there’s no mistake, they are the cleanest most anal-retentive orderly people I know.

Are you young, single, and with no dependents? Only if you’re subcontracted through a reputable Western agency. And then only if you’re willing to take the risks. My brother, who is in the oil business, was out there two years ago. Kidnappings are a daily occurrence. You’ll likely be out in the boonies, not ‘civilisation’. My brother told the story of one village who got fed up with the central government, attacked or threw out government officials, and the army went in and killed the lot of them.
