Was Sounds of Silence cover by Disturbed mentioned?

Rockin’ 1000 covering Learning to Fly by the Foo Fighters.

In terms of sound, pretty good. In terms of size & scope, freaking amazing. As for the video, I think this is my favorite YT clip ever.

Car Seat Headrest’s cover of Naive Melody is pretty cool.

Pearl Jam covering Bob Dylan’s Masters of War is a gem

Radiohead cover New order/Joy Division’s Ceremony.

Julia Nunes/Build Me Up Buttercup. A young woman, a ukulele, help from some friends…and a dream.

The thread about The musical artist you should love… but can’t get into just reminded me of this.

Born To Run by Springsteen - preposterous overblown bollocks.

Born To Run by Frankie Goes To Hollywood - a fantasy in a Liverpool Dole Office - Hah! - NOW it’s operatic. NOW it makes sense.

Put me on dally signing?

I wanna die with you, Wendy, on the streets tonight, in an everlasting kiss…

A classic.

Cite? This is just not true.

Capitol Records was butthurt that it was not a hit for Sammy. They released it 4 times as a live track, a studio single, a B-side, and then again on a compilation album in 1982 to capitalize on Springfield’s cover after Sammy bolted to Geffen Records.

Sammy jokes that Rick Springfield had the benefit of looks, his acting career, and MTV but he’s not really serious, besides he made good money off Springfield’s cover.

In fact, he and Rick are good friends, they’ve performed together and are partners in Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum company.

I was gonna post this as well. It is awesome in it’s own right but really highlights how great Rush’s songwriting was. :frowning:

How about Pearl Jam covering “Crazy Mary” by Vicotoria Williams?

I liked the cover of “Immigrant Song” that Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, and Karen O did for the US remake of “Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”:
