WOW! What a sexy voice!

I just answered a wrong number call from the sexiest male voice I’ve ever heard. Deep, slightly accented with a southern draw.
He wanted to know if I was “Betty”, and I just HATED to tell him I wasn’t. Then neither one of us said anything, and I realized I was gonna have to tell him he had the wrong number. He must’ve picked up on something in my voice, because he said “I’m sorry, I guess I’ll have to let you go then”.
When I hung up, my husband was standing there wanting to know who it was. I felt like I’d been caught cheating.

Damn, I wanna be Betty!

Will it make you feel any better that I have a crush on the woman who reads the introductory text on Guillemot’s tech support line?

Roxanne Roberts, a frequent panelist on NPR’s Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me.

Margery Eagan, who’s on one of the local talk radio stations in Boston, has the sexiest laugh I’ve ever heard.

And Carolyn Faye Fox on NPR’s Says You; very smart, very funny, and absolutely adorable in person.

I think the lady with the little mousie nose on the Weather Channel is real cute…

Damn I thought you were gonna talk about Chef Troy! That man has got one hell of a voice!

When I did a short run as a survey taker over the phone I had one guy ask me out and one guy propose to me because of my voice.
And in turn I got to hear alot of nice voices over the phone.
But none that curled my toes like yours.
Do you have caller ID? Maybe you could call him back as a wrong number late at night when the hubby is out of town?

Oh, I forgot to ask, if he called you Betty did you call him Al?

Sorry about that wrong number Queeny. I was trying to track down someone I ran into when I was toolin’ thru Tennessee last weekend. (went thru Big Sandy and stayed a night on the shore of Kentucky Lake)

Wish I knew it was you…

I’m not as stupid as you look!

Dunno if I’m getting whooshed here or not, but:

OOOOOHHHHHH, God, the thread title brings back memories.

When I was working at the Fremont, we had this Japanese floorman named Nachio. Not much to look at, thei Nachio, but the pit bosses picked up on something real quick…

If they needed me to work overtime, the would send Nachio over to come up behind me and whisper in my ear with that husky voice and that accent… “Can you stay over, maybe two, three hours?” Drool. “Yeah, yeah, sure, anything you want.” Then I’d realiize that I had just been suckered into working overtime when I didn’t really want to, and usually would end up working until midnight (my shift ended at 8:00 pm)

Damn Nachio and his sexy voice.

I thought the same thing, airdisc - think they’re just having a larf at our expense?

Don’t think I didn’t think of that!
But it was a business name, I’d have to ask for ‘sexy voice guy’.

Not that it makes a diff, but women have always told me that I have an especially sexy telephone voice… Reading this thread gets me thinking about the effect I might have had on them!!!

Damn!! I shoulda followed up on some of those calls!!

Mmm this reminds me of a fellow Biomajor in college.

Oh man her voice and accent made me want to sit up and beg for more.

shrugs I’ve got this thing for russian/slavic accents.

I could listen to George Takei all day long . . .

Wow, was that you? I never did connect with Betty…

I have to ask… What makes for a sexy male voice?

I’ve heard from numerous female friends and coworkers that I have a great voice… but I’ve also heard that my voice is too low and scratchy… my wife loves my voice (or so she says)… I’ve also been told that I sound “intimidating” due to my voice.

I just don’t know what women think is a good voice anymore… do I sound intimidating, or do I have a nice voice? is there some other factor making those random women complement me? I consider myself to be an attractive person, but would someone lie about my voice just for the chance to make a compliment?

Incase you’re curious… my voice is somewhat low and rough due to smoking, and a lot of other factores… I tend to keep a somewhat even tone (being a Sysadmin, keeping my cool is part of my job description… so that carries over into my normal speech)

What makes a sexy voice you ask?

Sean Connery does it for me, as well as the guy in the three muskateers with the eye patch. You know the one with Keifer Sutherland?

Sexy voice-think Goran Visnjic on ER. (You know, Luka?)

Ooooooh…

Christian Bale and Ewan McGregor are also pretty good.

And Billy Zane…
