OMG, this is getting spooky!
This reminds me of the late 70s when Roslyn Carter ACTUALLY had a picture taken with John Wayne Gacy and Jim Jones [or maybe they weren’t the ones but they were two actual mass murders way before they did their crimes] and SNL put poor Roslyn with Charles Manson, Richard Speck, Hitler and a bunch of other. It was too funny.
For the record, the outdoor deck of the trade center was in the middle of the building, about half a story above the roof. So yes, you could hop over the railing, but you’d then have a ways to sprint to get to the actual edge. Even then, I think there was a sort of parapet formed by the roof being lower than the sides.

Also, I didn’t think the observation deck of the WTC even opened before 10am
Lemme see, the first aircraft was banked over and came downwards to hit the first tower, and it struck very near the top so the one portrayed could not be that one.
So it must be pretending to be the second one, but I doubt that all that many people, if any at all, escaped from the building from above the impact point.
If you had seen the first impact(and likely run like hell), and then been just above the second I don’t think that saving your camera would be a priority.
