Does anyone have the scoop on the snopes (Urban Legends) site? They were there yesterday - I sure hope they aren’t gone!
Any info is much appreciated.
They moved their messageboard a couple of weeks ago, and recommend that if you’re having problems with the domain name you access them via their IP :
I just did that and it worked fine.
I heard the Recording Industries ordered them to shut down their site. LOL
Oh yeah - the whole problem is AOL’s fault according to the announcement on the snopes messageboard.

~When the SDMB was down for overhaul (earlier this year, or late last year) I got the scoop (on someone else’s panicked post) at snopes. I guess turnaround is fair play - and you didn’t let me down.
Though I do not post here very often I am a daily visitor to SDMB.
