X-box system link for HALO

Yallo, just bought a system link for X-box in order to link two systems together. I have HALO for both systems, however, the sytems won’t link together for four people to play on seperate TVs or I’m doing something wrong. Please help me out. Peace.

From what I understand it, you’re supposed to plug one end into one Xbox, the other end into the other Xbox, start Halo on both sysems and select “system link” in the multiplayer menu. If you did that, you’re probably not doing anything wrong. Not that I can think of, anyway.

I have heard that a number of copies of Halo that have “game of the year” on the packaging don’t work with system link. If that is true, and you have one of the defective copies, a call to Microsoft (you can probably find the number at http://www.xbox.com ) would likely get a replacement sent to you.

It could be a wrong type of cable… Correct me if I’m wrong but there’s a difference between a normal ethernet cable and a switchover cable… That could be causing a problem, I doubt it’s the game itself.

Yeah, but the OP bought a “system link”, which I assume is the official Xbox one which is a crossover cable and is made for connecting two Xboxes.

I suppose you should never assume too much, though.

xbox.com has a lot of info on these things, it even has game manuals etc… thats where to look.

I like HALO don’t get me wrong but why play HALO when you can play Splinter Cell .

It’s an amazing game, so amazing the Mrs.Phlosphr has to regulate how long I can play it as I usually lose track of time:)

This happened to us a couple of weeks ago. Calling Microsoft revealed that we either need to use two original Halo editions or two “Game of the Year” editions. The original and Game of the Year aren’t compatible with each other (which is what we had at the time).

Good luck.

Because Splinter Cell has no Multiplayer… And Halo’s multiplayer kicks ass…
