I recently re-viewed X2: X-Men United and one scene in particular puzzles me. In the scene with Nightcrawler and Storm in Cerebro II, Nightcrawler makes a move toward the little girl with a look on his face like he’s going to attack her when Storm stops him, saying it’s just an illusion. Now this is odd, since the rest of the movie shows what a good, decent guy he is and doesn’t seem the type to go after what appears to be a child. So my question is…what was he planning to do?
Teleport her away, perhaps ?
I don’t think he was going to attack the girl. I think he saw her as unthreatening and was planning to walk past her and teleport out with Xavier.
I, too, didn’t see it as an attack. If anything he was being too trusting–you’re alone with a creepy little girl in a big creepy room and you know that the stuff of proverbs is hitting the fan with the Professor, and you figure nothing’s wrong with this picture?
Also knong everything could be an illusion she could simply be stopping nightcrawler from unknowingly walking off the edge of the catwalk.
