Whaddya think? I think he looks ok. He will probably look better when he is not against a green screen and on film.
I think it sucks. Wasn’t he supposed to be in a monestary before he joined the X-Men? if that is the case, why wasn’t he wearing the monk habit that I somewhat remember. Also, the green screen turns what was supposed to be basically a blue face so dark that you can’t make out the features. Also, I don’t think his tail looks realistic enough. It looks like a rubber hose with a triangular piece of cardboard. Hopefully, they will fix it before the movie goes live.
I am probably being too critical. I would like to see the movie.
A monastary? I think he was acting as a Circus Freak/Acrobat.
It’s been a few years since I’ve read X-Men, but isn’t Nightcrawler supposed to be covered in short blue/black hair? Also, IMHO, the hands look a little to “rough” for my tastes.
By the way, in the mainstream Marvel X-Men, he was a circus acrobat who left when the new owner wanted to put him in the freak show. I don’t know what the Marvel Ulimates origin is but that might be the monastery thing.

I thought he JOINED the monestary later.
And if he doesn’t have a German accent I’m setting the damn theatre on fire.
I don’t think he looks “lanky” enough. And I’m worried that the teleportation feature on him is going to be cheesy.

Sorry-That should have been Marvel Ultimates, not Ulimates
Yes, you are correct, he was a circus freak acrobat. NEver heard of him being a monk before.
sigh So much for the swashbuckling, acrobatic Nightcrawler that I loved as a kid. Oh well. No matter what they do to him, it won’t be as bad as the new Superman.
As of right NOW, I believe Kurt Wagner is a Priest, a monk or studying to be one. or at least he was in Uncanny X-Men a few months ago.
The “monastery thing” was from the animated series a few years back (not X-Men Evolution, the previous one).
Given the look of his make-up, I wonder if they will do the Nightcrawler-Mystique connection as they did in the comics?
That would be cool…refresh me if I’m wrong, but Mystique is Nightcrawler’s mom, right? And somehow I got the notion into my head that at one point in time Mystique was Rouge’s adopted mother, or something. Someone with more knowledge of Marvel please correct me on this if I am wrong.
Yes! You are correct sir!
I can’t figure out whether someone forgot to tell him that his fly is down, or that he split his pants.
Of course, from another angle, I guess he may just have blue balls.
Not bad at all. The clothes, of course, are different, but those’re just gravy. They made him look like Nightcrawler. I’m happy.
The sound effect has GOT to be “Bamf!”
Well, personally, I think they should make sure to include the Bamflings in the movie…

running incredibly quickly to avoid personal injury at the hands of rabid X-fans
It would be even funnier if every time he teleported the other heroes commented about the farty smell left behind.
BAMF!
Jean Grey: Stop farting Wolverine.
Wolverine: Sorry
Wouldn’t the hole in his pants be there because of his tail? Maybe they are going to add the tail later.
Mamahen, the tail was that horridly rendered triangle on a stick behind him.
First picture, second thread.
I doubt they’ll go into the Nightcrawler/Mystique connection. They obviously changed Mystique’s history for the movies – the character is almost totally distinct from the character from the book, save for the shapechanging aspect of her mutant power. And they futzed the timeline such that the movie’s Rogue was much younger than in the books. So the history’s gotta be different (if they even took the time to come up with one). Anyway Nightcrawler’s just a secondary character in the movie anyway.
He looks like a frickin’ Ninja Turtle.
A blue Ninja Turtle.
