What the hell? Some guy in Las Vegas offers to summon a UFO, KNTV-ABC sends out a cameraman and reporter, … and one shows up?!?!?!
(Anybody got a better link to this video?)

Ford Prefect? Is that you?
Here’s a link that doesn’t require registration:

Possibly a planet?
I have to say the ability to summon planets on demand would be even more impressive than UFOs
It certainly looks weird, one thing has always made me skeptical about videos/pictures of UFOs and that is that the camera-person is always completely inept and only manages to take an out of focus shot whilst saying the thing was in the air for several minutes. Perhaps UFOs cause people with videocameras to involuntarily shake like they have parkinsons because the images are never steady, even this trained camera-person struggled to keep the object in frame.
Radio controlled model helicopter?
Interesting. It appears to changes position relative to the light tower, and it seems rather bright for a planet. I can’t explain it as a natural phenomenon.
Of course there are countless ways to deliberately fake a UFO. A simple white balloon may do the trick.
Hmmm… when I was a kid I spun a pie dish into the air and took pics, convinced all my friends was a UFO! But this looked so real, and was a reputable news crew filming it… I dunno.
Wow, it’s too bad that he has just enough influence to bring them close enough to be visible, but not to come down and introduce themselves and prove they exist. “We can only do a quick drive-by”, Kodos explained. “My sister Kang has a date tonight to exchange long-chain proteins with her boyfriend.”
By the way, I saw a magician do this amazing card trick where he produced the playing card you think of out of thin air, but he doesn’t let you get close enough to the card to see exactly which card it is. But he pulls the card out of his sleeve or wherever in quite tricky and convincing manner. Just from about 30 feet away.
If I recall, Prophet Yahweh plans to call down one of the ships close enough to Las Vegas such that all can see it hovering over the city for a day or two.
Of course, I’m guessing said spaceship will get lost in the rest of the spectacle that is Las Vegas. Those that do see it will probably spend more of their time trying to figure out where to insert the quarters.
According to Prophet Yahweh’s website, “Very soon, all my streaming will be encoded in several formats from 150k to full screen high definition standard 4:3 or 16:9 wind-screen modes.”
Wind-screen modes, you say? I’m intrigued. But it better be true anamorphic wind-screen, and not some matted pseudo wind-screen. I don’t want to feel even the slightest hint of a breeze as I watch the video.
In all honesty, though, I’ve watched thenews video, and I’m definitely intrigued. It looks like it could be just about anything until the camera pulls back, and it appears this thing is maneuvering among the clouds. It’ll be interesting to see what happens over the next 45 days, starting tomorrow. I’m sure the Prophet has all sorts of excuses cooked up and ready to go if the aliens turn out to be a no-show.
It’s just Greg upstairs with a flashlight and a whistle. I knew giving him his own room was a bad idea.
“The voices in my head told me to go public”
I have no response to that.
The voices in my head usually just tell me to burn things.
I liked that they went straight to the weather after that segment.
“Who, me? No idea what it was.”
The producers of Vegas residents Penn & Teller’s BULLSH!T! just got a season opener.
Of course if it is really evidence of an alien intelligence, I still don’t think it will beat Blue Men Group or David Cassidy in ticket sales. (Lance Burton, maybe.)
Somebody must’ve pissed off thier editor.
Mine tell me to Submit Reply.
