I remember that the Yatta flash movie was brought up once, and someone posted a link to an actual video of the group who sings Yatta performing… anyone have that link anymore?
Was it the Japanese guys just wearing fig leaves and bouncing from leg to leg while singing “Yatta! Yatta!”?
If so, the group is called Green Leaves, created by the comedy team Ut-chan Nan-chan, or Uchimura Teruyoshi and Nanbara Kiyotaka. I couldn’t find a video of their stage performance, but I did find a website (in Japanese, unfortunately) showing the dance moves for Yatta!

I love this video. I don’t know what’s better though: The shots of the guys flying towards the screen (especially the guy with the galaxy behind him), or that little part in the middle when the guy tries to talk to the girl on the street, she leaves, and his buddies come out to console him.
There needs to be more videos like this in the US. I might actually start watching MTV again. If I gave a damn.
