You thought this was going to be sarcastic, didn’t you?

But I find that Giraffe is the most even-handed and imperturbable mod on the SDMB, and find his decisions, especially thread closings, to be well-explained, rational and fair.

As mod of the BBQ pit, I theorize he’s kind of like Tom Hanks in the Green Mile, developing compassion as he deals with the worst of the worst.

He’s like a miniature Buddha, covered with hair. And a neck three feet long.

So huzzah for Giraffe!

Now watch him close this thread, as it’s not a rant.

Thanks, Koxinga. It’s nice to be compared to a Tom Hanks character that isn’t Forrest Gump for a change.

But, as much as I appreciate it, it really doesn’t belong in the Pit so I’m moving it to MPSIMS. If this makes all your warm feelings toward me curdle like sour milk in your mouth, well, I guess we all know what to do about that. :wink:

Does that reset Giraffe’s score for (real) pittings so he’s still in the MPM table (Most Pitted Moderator)?

This would normally belong in MPSIMS if it were about a regular member (and would arguably belong here if you were talking about Giraffe’s contributions as a member), but since the thread’s about a mod, it needs to be in either ATMB or the Pit.
