Yay! I'm an Uncle, again!

My sister gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Joseph Tyler, at 8:19 PM today! [sub]Well, by now it was yesterday, but you get the idea.[/sub]

It’s her third boy, but her first all natural birth, after two breach births resulting in cesarean (caesarian?). She even got to help deliver after he crowned by pulling him out herself (thanks, Mid-wives.)

Just my bit of happy news.

Congratulations!

Have a great time with your avuncular duties, such as babysitting, gameplaying, and field trips. Nephews are a great excuse to do fun kid things.

And if you want “Cool Uncle” status, teach him to juggle. Though I’m sure you’ll have no problem getting Cool Uncle status anyway.

Congratulations!

Hey, that’s great! I’ve got 7 nephews and nieces myself. Playing around with them is one of the greatest things in this world.

Congratulations to you and your family thinksnow

Being an uncle (well, aunt, in my case) ROCKS. Congratulations! Spoil your new nephew rotten.

I can honestly say I truly love being an uncle. Congrats A Million, thinksnow!

Hey Rally, I got 8! And another one on the way! :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey, congratulations!

And I second the thought that you shouldn’t have trouble getting “cool uncle” status.

Have fun!

::sigh::

I envy you … I’m an only child, and DH’s only brother isn’t having any kids, so I will never know what it would be like to have nieces or nephews. I think that would be the greatest way to have kids - you get to play with 'em, but then when you get sick of 'em, you can give 'em back.

Congrats, thinksnow!

WOO! Congrats!
[sub]And keep the damn Stroh away from the kid until he can at least walk, mmmkay?[/sub]

Since I was in college, the Marines and other cities for my oldest nephews formative years (he’s 9 1/2) and have been at least two states away for the second (2 1/2), I’m making a pledge to make more trips to visit my sisters family.

Get this: they used to have a Great Dane, but it was tearing up the house something awful, so they had to give it away. I bought them one of those robotic dogs. It’s sitting on my kitchen table as we speak since I didn’t get a chance to get it to them for Christmas and figured the birth would be a good opportunity. I think I’m making a road-trip to Michigan this weekend…hehe.

Congratulations! I just became an aunt again in February and it feels great, doesn’t it? Glad to hear Mom was okay with the birth, after two C sections.
