I saw the premiere tonight on Paramount+.
Quite surprised they signed Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. They are certanly A list talent.
I’ll comment about the episode tomorrow after people have watched.
Should we use spoiler tags?

I watched episode 1 twice. It’s a very good start to the series. There weren’t any big reveals. They only established the characters and the loss of livestock. The locusts have eaten the best grass and the cattlemen and sheepmen are trying to keep their herds alive.
Any article about the series will give that same information.
Harrison Ford is very good as the patriarch. He does look extremely thin and frail… Harrison is 80 and he looks it in this role.
I really like Helen Mirren as the matriarch. She’s shown actually working on the ranch. A lot different from Big Valley with Barbara Stanwyck elegantly dressed in gowns.
The only predictable character is the troubled WWI vet son. He’s challenging himself by hunting big game in Africa. It’s a safe bet that he will eventually return home to the range war.
1923 looks very promising.
Good reviews.
I admit the scene with cowboys riding into town on horses seems a bit wrong for 1923. I can more easily accept a farmer with horse drawn wagon.
