Well, I don’t really see anything that would lead ME to believe that he actually said “fuck you.” But if he did, I think his spokesman’s description of it as “a frank exchange of views” is absolutely hilarious.
TYM, don’t just dismiss this. This is a big deal. I mean, he said “Fuck you!”. It would be OK if he cheated on his wife and got a blowjob while conducting business on the phone, though. But, if South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut taught you anything, it’s that anything goes as long as there’s no naughty language.
I’ve never been a big fan of Cheney, but this bumps him up a bit.
Does anyone have details about what Leahy actually said? I can just picture it:

Other than that, I can’t honestly see any reason to keep discussing this, and I loathe Cheney with the fire of at least a couple of suns. It doesn’t even have the ironic appeal of your typical conservative moral blunder, since it’s not even something he’s ever railed against, to my knowlege.
Unfortunate that this had to happen on the very day that the Bush/Cheney campaign unveiled a new video attacking Democrat’s “rage”.
Lucky he didn’t get more riled up, something could have gone wrong with his pumper.

Frankly, I think politics could use more profanity. Sure would make the debates more interesting, if nothing else. This is very likely the first thing Cheney has done in his entire life that I approve of.
Well…we all aren’t the co president on the floor of the Senate for a photo op when we tell someone “fuck you”. The man is losing it.
