Yet Another Fun But Probably Meaningless Online "Political Compass" Test You Can Take

Since this was, um, resurrected, I took it again. I originally got Keir Starmer. This time I got Pope Leo. I’m (mostly) good with that.

But I’d change “probably meaningless” in the thread title to “entirely meaningless.” Or maybe that’s just something that the Pope himself would say?

Me too. This tracks. I’m a Tifosi, drive Fiats and make some good Spaghetti!

I got Pope Leo.

Oddly I’m ok with this. I like his red velvet shoes.

(Translates to “same here,” according to my iPhone translation app)

Former Prime Minister of the UK; a Conservative replaced by Keir Starmer (my former alter ego from the first time I took this “test”).

I got Mamdani too.

I have no idea what the Davos vs. Dubai opposition is supposed to mean.

Another one slightly bemused to see myself aligned with Pope Leo.

I took this test a couple of weeks ago so I don’t remember my exact percentages, but I got Mark Carney.

Yeah that’s one threw me too. No idea what it’s supposed to mean. Curious.

Aligned with a pro NATO America dominated unipolar global order or aligned with those who want to change that status quo - Russia, China, the “Global South”.

I scored toward the middle in all five dimensions. I fit Claudia Sheinbaum.

Questions on such surveys are ambiguous or otherwise flawed. This one was much worse than most. As two examples:

Prediction markets are BOTH a “truth machine” AND an undesirable form of gambling.

“AI automation should not come at the expense of jobs and livelihoods.”

??? Automation by definition costs jobs. The questions are whether NEW jobs will be created, and what sort of UBI system will arise.

Georgia Meloni.
I was pretty middle of the road. Neutral was an honest answer to many questions.
