All of us coming up Mamdani reinforces the idea that the Democratic party has been resistant to: thoughtful people who may not even consider themselves socialists are politically closer to Mamdani than to the Democratic leadership. Which goes a long way to explain the Democrats performance in elections over the last 10 years.
Either that, or the poll is just labeling anyone more extreme than center left as Mamdani.

Seems to me that this poll is more about how you feel about things not about what you would do about issues. That’s not at all the same thing.

It’s kind of weird how some of the people they use as exemplars are more prominent than others. Certainly it’s not like there aren’t actual center-left politicians whose views are very close to Klein’s and could have been used.
