Yet Another 'Identify this Book' Thread - Fiction about a caterer, starts company

Not sci fi so not appended to the ongoing thread dedicated to that…

Woman, recently divorced or dumped or widowed and needing to make money. Starts a catering company.

A wealthy ermmm don’t think he was ever a boyfriend, but friend or colleague, older guy, basically supplies her with an operating budget and although it remains under her control, her catering company operates as a subset of his corporate octopus conglomerate.

Attornney representing the wealthy guy’s wife, who is in the midst of divorcing him, lists the corporate octopus conglomerate as a marital asset, which would mean our main character, a woman who made her own career, might lose her business to a woman who lived her life as a trophy wife. Pisses her off.

The solution was that SHE buys the corporate conglomerate out and makes it a subsidiary of the catering company, reversing the original arrangement, thus it is no longer wealthy guy’s asset and can’t be attacked within the divorce proceedings. (I am totally not an attorney and can’t respond to comments about whether that would work, I’m just saying that’s my recollection of how the book plays out).

If I could remember the name of either the catering company or the conglomerate, I’d probably have the book title and author in front of me… catering company was something short, two words I think, like Summit Services but that’s not it.

Novel length, not short story.
