Yet another song identification thread

I was watching a movie on DVR, and when it ended it kicked out to a soap opera on CBS. There was some sort of montage between two characters, and a ballad with a female singer was playing. The only lyrics I paid attention to was a single line, repeated frequently, that sounded like “We all have our own bleeding heart.” (It may have been beating rather than bleeding)

A Google search of both sets of lyrics yielded nothing. I’m guessing a soap probably didn’t want to drop royalties on something famous, but I’m hoping the song actually exists, and if so one of you knows what it was. It was pretty!

It was on The Bold and the Beautiful yesterday (the 27th), and apparently no one knows what it is. Here’s a snippet of it at the end of the episode. Apparently it’s the “Bill’s screwing Brooke while married to Brooke’s sister but for some reason the audience is supposed to feel sorry for him” angst song and has been playing this week.

You might keep an eye on the B&B Facebook page, since people are asking about it.

(The sad thing? I have literally never watched an ep of B&B in my life. Was always a Days of Our Lives or Another World gal.)

It kind of sounded like Fiona Apple.

Bleeding Heart by Kim Taylor?

Good job.
In case anyone wants to listen.
The version on the show seems to be edited down though: The beginning and the end of the song.
