My mom got my dad one for christmas last year. It was way cool then, but I don’t like it as much now. I don’t know about the newer models, but the one that we have has horrible resolution once printed up. Is this the case for newer ones too?
I got a 1.3 megapixel. Not ideal for print but since most of what I do is for the web, I am okay with it. I wasn’t willing to spend a grand on stuff for print.
i just bought the ibook i’m posting on last tuesday. i actually danced around the ups man. you should have seen his face, it was a sub. not the regular guy.
today my printer arrived, scared another ups sub. and the person he was training. i’m on a roll.
i don’t think the ibook has totally cooled down yet. i keep finding new nifty things. last night was the stickies, i just love them. tonight was ilisten. what fun.
has everyone around you gone camara shy yet?
Hehe I went with my dad to Home Depot today. You wouldn’t believe this man! He’s 55 and was actign liek a kid at Toys R Us! It was funny. He almost bought a big pipe for the sole purpose of showing his friend how big it was. He must have every tool ever made in every color and size. Even at the register he was snatchign all the impulse buys they sell. ‘Do you need purple paint?’ ‘Not now! But I might! It’s on sale!’
Neither Baglady nor I are very good at delayed gratification so when we see a new toy we always seem to have one soon enough.
Our one complaint is that the first two Baglady bought we a little flimsy. The lens cover on both broke with relatively little provocation. Of course this just gave her a reason to buy a newer model (while fixing the previous one).
It is definitely a nifty toy, especially as I fall into that genetic pool of people unable to have film developed.
The handsome Mr. Obfusciatrist forgot to mention that we both have Handspring Visor Deluxe units. I’m also a bit of a Camelbak fanatic; I just bought another one for the upcoming Burning Man event out in Nevada. Since I’m volunteering as a Blak Rock Ranger and wanted to get seriously into their “wear khaki” theme, I got me a desert tan Camelbak.
I saw the title of this thread and immediately thought, “How long is THIS one…?”
And, DAMN, Techie… you’re beautiful.
Anyway, I’ve had my eye on digital cameras for a long time (those 4.3 megapixel ones make me drool), and I’m hoping to get my hands on a nifty one soon (I also like those Digital Elph’s).
And, if you’ve seen my brothers’ “I just got a GeForce II” thread, you’d know that the “Kid at Christmas” syndrome runs strongly in our family. Hell, when I got my Minidisc player/recorder (which, by the way, I recommend for EVERYone above those abominable Mp3 players), I ran around copying all my CDs to MD. It was quite a larf. I STILL love that thing.
I bought a canon A50 1.3 megapixel just after christmas last year. I love it, on the trip to maine, I bought a 48meg cartridge for it, can store 142 pictures, whooopieee!!!
Your dog is so cute!!!

What did you expect, a comment on the camera? Do you know who you’re talking to? That’s not gonna happen.
I know exactly what you mean.
I resently bought me one too
and it’s so fun.
Your dog looks so sweet.
Here’s a picture of my dog. http://www.fortunecity.se/gladahuset/tipspromenaden/40/Jack01.JPG
He’s sweet, but on this picture he looks a bit mean.
I think I’ll have to take aonouther one on him.
Anniz - oh, that’s a Mighty Fine dog! (I always get sappy around pets.) A really nice dog.
I got a USB CD-RW drive a few months ago. I’ve gone slightly INSANE burning CDs with it! And I got an iMac about 2 months. (It’s Blueberry. The flavor is important, you know.) And I just got a new drawing tablet for my PC (which I have not installed yet) and…and…
I totally understand the new “toy” syndrome. You just can’t resist, can you?
Tack(thanks) yosemitebabe.
I love my dog so much, he have helped me
